Michelle is an enthusiastic and committed lawyer who prefers to get things done. She thinks in creative solutions and likes to set the bar high. Michelle is passionate about information law. In her work as a lawyer, she mainly focuses on IT law, privacy law and intellectual property law. She also has an affinity with competition law and compliance.
Michelle completed her master’s degree in Information Law at the Institute for Information Law (IViR) at the University of Amsterdam. Michelle wrote her thesis on the neutralisation doctrine within trademark law, and in particular, whether it also applies to so-called ‘well-known trademarks’.
Apart from a passion for information law, Michelle is a fanatic gamer and musician. Her free time is spent making and writing music, accompanying herself on the guitar or piano. Michelle loves to win and she enjoys playing competitive online video games such as World of Warcraft. Quick switching and clear and good communication are crucial for this. She incorporates this creativity, skills and winner’s mentality into her daily work at SOLV.
