Since the beginning of 2023, Berend has been working as a legal counsel at SOLV Advocaten.
Currently, in addition to his responsibilities at SOLV, he is working towards completing his Master’s degree in ICT, Intellectual Property, and Internet Law at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. During his master’s program, Berend developed a specific interest in the fields of e-commerce, consumer law, intellectual property law, and media law. His master’s thesis explores the subject of manipulative web designs, also known as dark patterns, in relation to consumer law. Throughout his studies, Berend gained valuable experience in the legal sector and also completed an internship at SOLV.
In his free time, he is active as a DJ and producer of electronic music.
